I was looking through my cousin's food blog to satisfy my own hunger and then i stumble across the cookies section. So, i decided to give it a try on my own to bake them. And it is my first time.
Mom and Sean are big fan of chocolate but on the other hand Daddy and i loves white choco. So i incorporated the two together to give everyone a little something.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup of unsalted butter, ( 113 grams ) room temp.
1/2 cup of light brown sugar, ( 105 grams )
1/4 cup of white granulated sugar, ( 50 grams )
1 large egg
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 cup (130 grams) all purpose flour
1/4 cup ( 30 grams ) cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 1/2 cups of white chocolate chips or chunks ( 260 grams )
A pinch of salt
A pinch of salt
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F ( 180 degrees C ) and place rack in center of oven. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
2. In the bowl of your electric mixer ( or with a hand mixer ), beat the butter and sugars until light and fluffy for about 2- 3 minutes. Follow by the egg and vanilla extract.
3. Sift the cocoa powder with the flour and baking powder. Add the pinch of salt and mix it well. After that, add the mixture into the butter and egg.
4. ( my favourite ) Put in the chocolate chips and mix well.
5.Take scoops of the batter and put on the baking sheet. Give it a few inches of space apart. You can choose to how big or small you want ur cookies to be. But a reminder, this cookies expands a lot so you might wanna adjust your lining.
6. Bake it for approximately 8 - 10 minutes until the co
okies are still soft in the center but hard on the side. Remove the cookies from the oven and let it cool out for about 5 to 10 minutes.
Cant keep my hands off the cookie jar. :)
Enjoy!
