Life's a climb but the view's great.

THE BIG QUESTION IS?

WHAT IS NEXT?

Lately, I've been hearing a lot of this question asked by my friends and family. And probably at that point, I didn't know what to answer or say so I just brush it off my shoulder and move on. But the truth is, I did. I knew what was coming next and what i wanna do. I just didn't want to. I wanted to wait a little while more. I wanted to enjoy more of what's fun and then later on work on what's important. However, it is all about to change. If you have not heard, you'd probably never will but for those who know me in person, know that it has changed me more than ever. Things in the past have changed me but only bits and parts of what is me and not who i am.

The first rule I shall try to live by this year:

I often find procrastination has been a good friend of mine over the years. We both make a very good companionship, shutting off my conscious and letting out the lazy lizard. :D 101 BIO: When we procrastinate, it's probably a part of our brain known as lazy lizard that's controlling the entire brain function. And no i did not just make this up but it is scientifically proven.

" They told me that I didn't understand the assignment, and I told them they didn't understand life. "

Now I am sure everyone wants to be happy. Nobody wants to be upset and pissed off all the time. And I want to believe that the people around me aren't sadist. :P

Here's a little story for you.
About 6 years back, I met this guy from some friends of mine in school. At first we didn't communicate and talk much but after one night at prom and the endless hanging out, we became good friends. Soon, we began talking almost everyday and even when he had to leave to Australia, we would have video messaging everyday and back then we didnt have skype yet, I think. *Either that or I was too much of a frog living under the stone, I did not know* Everyday, coming back home from school I would run upstairs to my room and come online and he would be there waiting. Endless chats and skype session till 5 in the morning and I practically just go to school straight the next morning. At the end of the year, he would come back during Christmas and we would hang out all together and do all sorts of crazy things.

However, 3 years back and ever since I came to college and he went to med school, the communication just went disappeared. Less phone calls, hardly ever come online and the worst thing is we kinda forgotten each other's existence. It's like I lost my best friend.

A couple of days ago, I was looking through the picture folders in my computer and I found lots of pictures that we both have taken. I reread the skype chats we had and even when through the friendship feature where facebook allow you to look back over the years, the conversations and interaction you have with one and another.

Those were happy times. Those were the times where laughters were innocent and not pretend. No BS but pure friendship. And I miss them.

Today is his birthday and I just wanna wish him Happy Birthday Victor! Know that you're always in my thoughts and I am still here. Sorry I haven't been around but neither have you. We've just been so busy with each other's lives that we forgotten.

This was taken a year ago during January when Vic came back for Chinese New Year and we went for karaoke session! :D Still remember the shirt? :P

Still we must learn to let go to make space for what has to come.

It's not so much bout the end-result but the process of going through that matters.
Most of the time, we try so hard to achieve what we want that we tend to forget what was our main purpose of doing that particular thing.

Life's a climb but the view's great.
